Dr. Chetty is a well-known expert in the field of radiation oncology physics. His specific area of interest is in the area of dose-outcome relationships, as well as image-guided radiation therapy for patients with lung cancer. He is also highly experienced in the specialties of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and body radiotherapy (SBRT). Currently his main function is to develop and coordinate physics and translational clinical and research projects in the department of radiation oncology at Henry Ford Health system. He is also actively engaged in mentoring physics faculty, as well as medical physics and radiation oncology residents.
Dr. Chetty has served as chair of the ASTRO Radiation Physics committee. Most recently, he chaired the physics track for the ASTRO annual conferences. He was also co-chair of the AAPM research committee.
